It can only carry an axial load but not a radial load. According to the direction of the force, it can be divided into single direction thrust bearings and double direction thrust ball bearings. One-way miniature thrust bearings can only bear axial load. Because the thrust pad bearing cannot carry a radial load, its limit speed is very low.

Application of thrust ball bearing:

Because the speed is low, it can only bear the axial load on one side, so there are fewer applications, such as crane hooks, vertical pumps, reducers, etc. But the biggest advantage is that there can be installation errors, which are not achieved by all other types of bearings.
